The Outfit That Inspired It All

Cardigan - Banana Republic
Shirt - J.Crew Outlet
Pants - AG Jeans
Shoes - Rocket Dog

This is the outfit that inspired the whole "we NEED a blog." There's nothing really wrong with this outfit. But there's nothing really right. I need to ruminate on this, but my immediate thoughts are that the green shirt should be a bit more fitted. I bought it awhile ago when I was a bit bigger, and I think it shows.

I'm also still ambivalent about the shoes. They're cute, but I don't think they're fashionable, or even classic. I also don't think they do anything for the leg line.

Anyway, this is my quick outfit post. They may or may not be more detailed in the future. This one I wanted to crank out to see the process, and I have plans tonight. That I'll probably be late for. Oh well!

PS - Here are the earrings. I'm also wearing a necklace but I didn't grab a picture of it.

    I agree there's nothing really wrong with the outfit. It's just not quite "fashionable," I guess. The shoes don't really work. Maybe a more interesting top would be better?

    I always think of pairing these shoes with a graphic, similarly patterned b/w top. I'm thinking of tossing the shirt. Spring cleaning is becoming kind of necessary. I have so many clothes! And yet I wear about a fraction of them.

    That could be kind of interesting! I think those flats might better be paired with an A-line skirt too. I definitely have an outfit in my head. Maybe I'll try and do a polyvore set. haha.

    Definitely do spring cleaning. It also makes you much more aware of what you have in your closet.
