A couple posts ago The Chatty Roommate mentioned she had a pair of white and black spotted flats that she wasn't quite sure how to wear. This is my take on an outfit for those shoes, and yes, I know they weren't Louboutins, but hey, us girls can dream, right?
With shoes as patterned as the ones she has, I find it easier to stick with a mostly black and white palette and add a pop of color. In this case, red. I love, love, love the color blocked skirt, and well, color blocking in general, and added the earrings to match. It's just enough color to add some interest on a relatively basic outfit.
I like this outfit idea. Unfortunately, it would also require me investing in a considerable amount of basics. I think if I were to try it, there would be a few changes. But I get where you're going with this. I like the idea of adding black and white, and more solid lines. I can actually think of a couple combinations that I might be able to try in a similar fashion as this. My main problem is that I typically wear pants, but I can't wear my dress pants with flats.
