Spring Time

I was told today that I looked very "spring-y." I guess it's the scarf and shoes? The color of these flats were in fact called Easter. I wasn't sure if I liked then when I first saw them online, but once I got them in the mail I was sold. They are the perfect greeny-yellow, like the color of new flower buds.

I really like the neckline of the shirt I'm wearing today but it's a little small for me I think. The length is a little short so I have to keep pulling it down, another reason I decided on adding a scarf today. You do whatcha gotta do, right?

Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Cardigan: BP by Nordstrom
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Mercer flat from Marais
Scarf: H&M
Necklace: gift
Watch: Tissot (gift)

  1. Ohhh, I love it! It does look very springy! Maybe try the top with higher cut pants? It might be the angle but those look relatively low rise.

My outfit today is a laundry outfit. As in, I came home with little more than my laundry and so had to pick out an outfit from that...

I need to get into scarves more! I used to wear them every day. Literally. And it was awesome. I used to layer more in general actually.

I love that your phone matches your outfit today. Nice case, btw!

  2. Haha thanks! It's a Speck case that Ed got me. The description said it was "burgundy" but it's most definitely pink. Oh well. I still like it.

The pants are regular rise...? I'm not sure how to take pictures from a normal angle for outfit shots because you're right, they look strange. I'll work on it! And yes to scarves! They really can be 3 season wear if you do it right. H&M probably has my favorite selection of cheap scarves. Most of mine are from there.

Also, I noticed you have a ton of posts that are in draft form that you should publish!

    1. Niiice. I love when the colors off, but in a good way!

Yeah, it's probably just an angle thing. Which is hard to get right since these are all super klassy semi-anonymous self-portraits.

Agreed. They can also add a touch of the "bohemian" to my otherwise completely preppy outfits. I don't have a lot of patterned scarves. Most of mine are from a kiosk at our hometown mall. 5 for $25!

Haha, yeah... I keep getting caught up in life. I'm going to look over them though and see what I want to work on.
