I'm in black and yellow today so I thought it would only be fitting to pay tribute to Wiz Khalifa (not the Steelers because eww Ben Roethlisberger and football gets a general eye roll all around and exasperated sigh at the Transformers series that refuses to die thanks to the terrible human being that is Michael Bay). I obviously have very strong feelings about pop culture.
Anyways, back to my outfit. It's been in the upper 70s the past few days and I've fully embraced it. Today was the first time since probably October I stepped out without a jacket on. It felt slightly revealing even though I'm completely covered up. I'm also half bracing myself for it to suddenly drop 50 degrees and start snowing. I think I have some winter trauma issues to work through too...
And yes, I am wearing Birkenstocks and yes, I know they're kind of ugly, but they are super comfortable and the only pair of sandals I own now that I have banned the wearing of flip flops for anything other than the beach or dirty campground showering. So! I know you all are now dying to know where my outfit is from, right?
Tank: Old Navy
Sweater: Old Navy
Pants: Gap 5 pocket ponte legging jeans (AKA the most comfortable pants in the universe).
Shoes: Birkenstock Arizona sandal
Necklace: Ann Taylor
Watch: Thrifted Seiko men's watch
Hmmm... if I block out the birkenstocks, I like it. Is that a gold watch though? I'm not sure how I feel about yellow and gold together.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I see you're rubbing it in that you got the pants. I'm so jealous!
Sam Edelman makes fantastic sandals. Just sayin'...
On a slightly more critical note, I'm not sure what this is doing to your waist. I think I'd like this more with something that highlights that you know, you have one.
I went to Marshall's last night with the express purpose of looking for sandals, but then got sidetracked by the bow pumps. I've realized my feet look terrible in the majority of sandals and I honestly have yet to purchase a pair that will last me more than 1 summer so I'm not trying to spend a whole lot of money on them. If I refuse to shell out $40 for the cutest shoes I've ever seen in my life, there's like, very little chance I'll buy sandals for more than $20. Life is like, really hard.
DeleteI'm pretty sure it's the mirror being raised off the floor that's not letting me take decent angle photos. I look relatively ginormous/terrible in all the photos I've taken so far. I keep telling myself I look better in person, but that probably remains to be seen. I should buy a full length mirror for my apartment. Ugh.
Ahhh, that's right! I'm just teasing about the Birkenstocks. But you also camp and do way more outdoorsy stuff than I do, hence the outdoorsy shoes.
DeleteNordstrom Rack carries Sam Edelman. But I've bought most of mine off ebay. Average of about $15?
Haha, its fine. My mirror photos look relatively bad as well. And reveals how messy my room is.
